CyberWire Daily Podcast Features NINJIO's Work From Anywhere Report

Cybersecurity at Home Work From Anywhere Work from Home
February 15, 2021

“We want to cancel the term working-from-home, and erupt the word working-from-anywhere, because that’s where we see the future.”
So explained NINJIO CEO Zack Schuler in a recent interview for the Cyberwire Daily Podcast. Almost 90% of executives expect to have at least one day a week of remote work post-COVID, and more than one-third expect to have a portion of employees shift to permanent remote work.
Today, remote work doesn’t mean working from home; it really is working from anywhere —coffee shops, libraries, hotels, beach resorts. As a result, there is a slew of security concerns that arise when workers transition to public or unsecured networks (not to mention physical security concerns, such as leaving a laptop unattended while quickly running to the restroom).
In his interview, Zack shares a number of tips for companies to adopt the work-from-anywhere security mentality and help employees be unhackable:

Ask an authority figure for the SSID and password if sing a public network
    Use a VPN software
Look after your devices at all times. Consider using protection screens.
Be careful connecting to foreign devices, such as scanners and printers.
